ADOPTING A CAT FROM US

Thank you for considering adoption. Adopting a homeless cat give them a second chance at happiness and we have many cats ready to start a new life with you!

Our mission is ultimately to give homeless cats a better life by finding them the perfect family. This is why we require all adoptants to go through a vetting process. It might seem tedious, but it is nessary for us make sure we find the right match between our cats and the forever homes.

If you are allergic or for other reasons cannot have a cat at home, there are other ways to help our cats, like donations or volunteering.

ADOPTING FROM US STEP-BY-STEP

1. If you are interested in adopting a cat then write us an email at: LiFeline.adoption@outlook.com. From there you will get a reply from us with standard questions. Your answers will help us make sure we have a cat that matches your needs. During this step you can visit some of our cats.

2. Once you have decided on a cat to adopt we do a home-visit to make sure the cat is moving to a suitable place. During this visit, we ask and answer questions, and help you identify possible risks in your home that might be unsafe for cats.

3. Once you are approved, the adoption can proceed. You prepare your home for your new family member and can get ready to pick up your cat at the shelter with a transport crate. Once there, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fees (Swish or Bankgiro).

4. We provide you with a contact person that you can contact for advice during the first weeks. Our organization loves to receive updates so please let us know how things are going!

FEES

For every adoption we ask for a fee that helps cover the costs engaged by the shelter (food, shelter and supplies, vaccination and neutering). This fee is necessary so that we can help the next cat!
Adult: 2000 kr
Kitten: 2000 kr
